Seriously, one of the best films I’ve seen in a very long time. THE best £1 I’ve ever spent on a DVD.
A Poem for Film and Love
I don’t write poetry that often, in fact it’s very rare I do, not that I don’t like to, but I’ve never been too interested in expressing myself through poetry although this one felt easy and true.
With the touch of a hand I can turn to face you
and through the minds eye I have a perfect view
for my intentions are to capture,
to meet with your eyes and immortalize
if only for the rest of our lives
To watch us both, age in sequence
and rewind the mind of what you define
as the greatest moment in our lives
when the playback decays and the images fade
our sound waves go on
With the faint murmur of a quieting heartbeat
the spinning reel comes to an end
for the silver screen lays us down to sleep
as we live on unconsciously in repeat.

Went to Doncaster yesterday to film a small interview with Legendary Boxer Nigel Benn and I learned a lot from this quite chaotic visit. The boxing circuit and the management is so cut throat, people are pretty ruthless to each other when there’s really no need to be in some circumstances.
A good friend, David Wilkes drove us all the way there with my buddy H and his wife Cathy and of course the reason we could have this opportunity in the first place was thanks to Sean Keating who took a lot of shit for us to get the small interview we captured.
However, something big is in the pipeline now and tonight many useful contacts were made and seeds were planted. Only time will tell!
Murder By Death were just amazing. A small intimate gig with good sound and a decent support band. These guys were so spot on.

Not feeling too good. Staring at a screen for ridiculous hours. Eyes have turned red. Sleep deprived. Look like shit. I hate editing. I hate that it’s sunny outside and I’m inside. I hate seeing friends just relaxing whilst I’m in hell. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about all this but carry on. I hate that I have another video to edit after this film. I hate that I don’t get a summer. I hate that I’m moaning to a blog site. I’m hating a lot of things right now.
My head feels trapped in this right now.
